Working in Canada

Working in Canada is the Government of Canada's leading source for jobs and labour market information. It offers users free occupational and career information such as job opportunities, educational requirements, main duties, wage rates and salaries, current employment trends, and outlooks.

Career Cruising*

Career Cruising is designed to help students plan their future. With exceptional assessment tools, detailed occupational profiles, and comprehensive postsecondary education information students move effortlessly through the career exploration and planning process.

The National Occupational Classification (NOC)

The NOC is a tool that was developed by the federal government to help people explore and understand the career possibilities found within Canada's labour market. 

O*NET On-line

The O*NET program is the nation's primary source of occupational information. Central to the project is the O*NET database, containing information on hundreds of standardized and occupation-specific descriptors.

Glassdoor

Glassdoor holds a growing database of 6 million company reviews, CEO approval ratings, salary reports, interview reviews and questions, office photos and more. Unlike other jobs sites, all of this information is entirely shared by those who know a company best — the employees.

Canada's Top 100 Employers

This project profiles companies and organizations that lead the nation in offering exceptional working conditions and benefits. It also includes ranking for other cities such as:

The e-Talent Canada Portal is a unique online interactive map that will provide Canadians access to dynamic labour market information. The portal provides ICT job trends and tools pertinent to all sectors.
