Where in the World? The Class of 2017 Look to Finalize their April 2017 International Business Consulting Destination

The Class of 2017 kicked off the process of finalizing the market selection for next year’s International Business Consulting Project and trip.

The members of the class gathered this evening to re-present their findings of the seven destinations on their short list after spending the last month focusing on their Silicon Valley project and trip.

Initially the group was provided with 14 potential global markets at the beginning of their six week international course on International Market Evaluation and Strategy. The seven teams then leveraged their newly earned skills and learnings from their course to strategically narrow down their choices to half of the list. This culminated in mid-April with each of the teams presenting on the strategic strengths and weakness of each market with respect to a chosen organization. The conclusion of their presentation was for each team to identify one as the better opportunity out of the two markets.

Their Monday, June 6th session kicked off the week of narrowing the short list into one single destination. Each of the teams was asked to provide a review of the market with the better business opportunity which they had selected back in April during the session. This provided an overview and a slight touch of promotion for each of the destinationss.

A voting process has begun in order to narrow down the short list and converge on one single market.

Each day will feature a new ballot with an even shorter list of destinations as destinations are knocked out of contention until the criteria for the final market selection has been met.
