Tell us an interesting fact that we do not know about you Stephane. Do you have a unique talent or hobby?

When I was six years old my parents decided to enroll my brother, sister and I in piano accordion lessons. Initially I remember thinking the instrument was so complex and I resented the amount of time I had to devote to playing it. However fast-forward to a few years later and I was participating in competitions alongside some of the best accordionists in Canada.  Practicing music taught me perseverance, discipline and gratitude. The accordion became a creative way for me to express myself during challenging times.  Many thanks mom and dad!

There are many compelling reasons to undertake an Executive MBA Program. What is your goal for the Telfer Executive MBA Program?

My goal is to expand on the relevant industry knowledge that I have gained over the years in my various career paths and endeavours.  I realize the information and real-world applications that I will be exposed to while in the Telfer Executive MBA program will be extremely beneficial for my growth, as both an individual and as an executive professional.  Career advancement has always been a priority for me and I will nowhave additional tools such as practical experience and business linguistics to achieve it.

Is there any not-for-profit organizations or clubs which you support? What draws you to this cause?

I am a strong supporter of the Ottawa School breakfast program. Studies show that a nutritious breakfast can aid in educational performance, health and happiness.  Unfortunately, there are still far too many children who do not have access to a healthy morning start.

After losing a few friends and family members to Cancer, I choose to actively participate in many fundraising efforts to support the fight against this deadly disease. I completed Quest for a Cure in 2006; a forty-eight-hour grueling adventure race which tested my physical limits, but more importantly it raised money for the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation.

My summer consulting project became my new career path in an exciting environment with considerably higher earning potential - the Telfer Executive MBA has been great!
