A One Week Break from Classes

The Class of 2015 and Class of 2016 have made it to the halfway mark of their Fall semester after an intense six weeks of classes.

The Class of 2015 closed off two of thieir six week courses last week. Teams presented an anti-corruption plan on Wednesday morning to complete the Corporate Governance and Ethics course. Two days later they crossed off a key deliverable for the "Technology Entrepreneurship Business Consulting Project' through the Telfer Executive MBA's version of CBC's Dragon's Den by presenting their venture capital pitch on behalf of their client to a panel of investors. In the thirteen year history of the project, the pitch on average, has resulted in one in three presentations successfully securing a second meeting with at least one of the investors.

The members of Class of 2016 are adjusting to their new routine of balancing work, life and the Telfer Executive MBA. Candidates have shown their commitment to one other within their cohort through candidate-lead tutorials, an engaging election week for Class President, networking with other cohorts as well as social opportunities following team meetings and midterms.

The Program asked candidates from both cohorts about how they plan to spend their break:
