Our first summer family day experience ‘Summer in the Park with Telfer Executive MBA’ boasted a sold-out crowd on July 25. Over 130 people joined for a day at Camp Fortune Aerial Park including incoming candidates, current candidatures, alumni, professors, staff and their families.

The day featured a barbecue lunch followed by a survival trek for the youth while mom and dad enjoyed the adult aerial park zipline experience. Among the attendees were representatives of two local foundations Leading note Foundation and Natasha`s Wood Foundation.

Youth musicians from Leading Note Foundation, OrKidstra; a music program for children 5 to 18 in under-served areas in Ottawa provided musical entertainment during the barbecue lunch before joining in with the rest of the Telfer Executive MBA community for activities.

Fairy Godmother Fay and her fairy friend Jennifer greeted the youth upon their return from the trek. Fay Maddison, author and founder of Natasha`s Wood Foundation, a program supporting the children of first responders sat down for a story-telling session. Following the stories about `leaves as big as dishes to catch all of the children`s wishes` Children between five and 18 years of age created pictures to submit for the Natasha`s Wood Youth Art Campaign.

Families also enjoyed bubbles, face painting, games of tag, and 9 hole disc golf.

Mark your calendar to join us in July 2016 for our second annual Summer in the Park with Telfer Executive MBA experience.
