Telfer MBA Conference Series — We Connect You with Original Thinkers
The Telfer MBA Conferences connect you with original thinkers whose ideas are transforming business and management in Canada and around the world.
How to grow your Start-Up from $0 to $10 million
Shopify demonstrates that people who have never built a business can successfully launch a new 'Software as a Service (SaaS) Business to Business (B2B)' company from inception to $8 billion market capitalization in just over a decade.
In the first part of the conference, founders who have grown B2B Start-ups from inception to $10 million will share some critical path-dependent decisions that led to their success. You will hear real feedback on product, market, people, technology and funding decisions that arise when building a successful SaaS B2B company in today’s high growth, dynamic start-up environment.
The second half of the event will feature contracting opportunities available through the Office of Small and Medium Enterprise and Stakeholder Engagement (OSMESE), including the Build in Canada Innovation Program (BCIP). This session will also showcase insights from a new Telfer study that examines the links between federal procurement, innovation and gender in business ownership.
