Biography

Mehdi Rhaiem earned a PhD in business administration from Laval University before receiving post-doctoral funding from the Fonds de recherche du Québec to conduct research at Polytechnique Montréal. He is also a member of the Canada Research Chair in Management and Economics of Innovation, and of the Partnership for the Organization of Innovation and New Technologies (4POINT0) at Polytechnique Montréal.

Before arriving at the Telfer School of Management, he taught management and strategy courses to both graduate and undergraduate students at the Faculty of Business Administration of Laval University.

Professor Rhaiem’s research focuses mainly on how to measure efficiency in organizations, the management and transfer of knowledge, the strategic management of innovation, and the evaluation of research and of science and technology systems. His research has been published in peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Business Research, Scientometrics and Applied Economics. He has also presented his research at prestigious international conferences in Canada, the US, and Europe. His current research deals with measuring digital maturity in manufacturing industries by taking into account technological, managerial and organizational factors in order to target areas for improvement to help businesses become intelligent organizations.
