François Chiocchio is Professor of Organisational Behaviour and Human Resource Management at University of Ottawa's Telfer School of Management. He received his PhD in psychology from Université de Montréal in 2002. His research focuses on projects, teamwork, and collaboration in various organizational environments, include ng health care organizations in Canada and Africa. He has published books titled Stress and Performance in Health Care Project Teams (PMI), Advancing Human Resource Project Management (Wiley) and will publish The and Management of Project Teams (Oxford University Press) in 2015. His research has appeared in peer-reviewed journals (e.g., Project Management Journal, the International Journal of Project Management, Journal of Vocational Behavior, and Small Group Research). He is Departmental Editor for the Project Management Journal's "Individuals and Teams in the Realm of Projects" section. Measure and assessment specialist, he developed several instruments for selection purposes or that provide feedback on competency development; work for which he was praised with national (i.e., Canada) and provincial (i.e., Québec) awards. He was awarded major funding from Tri-Council agencies and the Project Management Institute. He received a prestigious award - the Prize of the Ministry of Education - for his collaborative web platform designed to help student teams communicate and manage their projects. Dr. Chiocchio also has strong management experience that stems from managing his consulting firm and having worked in the Canadian federal public service as a project manager. He is Administrator on the Board of Directors of Montfort Renaissance Inc. These various achievements have made him one of the only academics specialized in industrial-organizational psychology certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP)® by the Project Management Institute and as a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) by the Canadian Council of Human Resources Associations.
