Biography
Part-time professor Ziye Zhang has a long-term appointment to the Telfer School of Management.
She is a chartered professional accountant and a certified information systems auditor who graduated from Telfer’s undergraduate and graduate accounting programs. She teaches accounting in both English and French at the undergraduate and graduate levels, particularly data analytics and audit courses. Ziye is highly committed to her students’ success, both academically and beyond Telfer. She currently coaches the Telfer accounting teams for the JDC and JDCC case competitions. Outside of Telfer, she is a marker at CPA Canada’s National Marking Center.
Professionally, Ziye has previously worked in accounting firms, where she led engagements in both for-profit and not-for-profit sectors, focusing on health care, construction and retail industries. Currently, Ziye works for the Canada Revenue Agency as a senior analyst specializing in international tax policy as it relates to the interpretation and negotiation of tax treaties and other international agreements.
