Our goal is to attract top-quality candidates to our MBA program. The following scholarships will be awarded by the Admissions Committee on a rolling basis, in most cases, so it is best to complete your application as soon as possible to increase your chances of receiving an award.

Telfer School of Management Admission Scholarship

Scholarships varying between $2,500 and $12,000

The applicant must be registered as a full-time student (foreign, Canadian citizen or permanent resident) in the MBA program at the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa; have an admission average of A- or 80% or higher, or can be awarded based on excellent GMAT score; and demonstrate outstanding potential based on the review of the candidate's work experience and motivation.

The BDO Canada TELFER MBA Aboriginal Scholarship

BDO Canada LLP has established a scholarship with the University of Ottawa’s Telfer School of Management MBA program to inspire and drive economic development within Aboriginal communities. The scholarship aims to support an incoming Aboriginal student in the intensive Telfer MBA program who exhibits a strong desire to improve the economic well-being  of Aboriginal communities.  The scholarship will include a 4-month paid internship within select BDO Canada offices immediately following completion of the MBA program.  The internship will supplement the knowledge and experience gained in the MBA program with hands-on, practical experience with the BDO Consulting unit.

The applicant must: Self-identify as Aboriginal (First Nations, Métis, Inuit and non-status); be a Canadian citizen;Be registered in the intensive MBA Program at the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa; be eligible for a paid internship with BDO Canada’s Advisory Services Practice; and demonstrate his/her interest to improve the economic well-being of Aboriginal communities.

 

The Mark Cullen Scholarship for MBA Students

2 scholarships of $5,000 or 1 scholarship of $10,000

The applicant must be registered as a full-time student in the MBA program at the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa; must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, residing in Canada; have been a resident of Western Canada (Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, Yukon, Northwestern Territories, Nunavut) at the time of their admission to the MBA program and demonstrate outstanding potential as determined by the MBA Admissions Committee based on the review of the candidate's work experience and motivation.

John de la Mothe MBA/MSc Admission Scholarship

1 scholarship of $2,000
(no application required)

The applicant must be registered as a full-time student in the MBA program or first year of the MSc program at the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa; demonstrate academic excellence (an average of at least B+); and demonstrate his/her interest in the field of innovation, science and/or technology.

The Honorable Robert René de Cotret Commemorative Fund

$1,000
(no application required)

Candidates can be students admitted to the part-time or full-time MBA program. Along with rewarding demonstrated academic excellence, preference will be given to students with an interest in public service or international affairs.

Women’s Business Network Scholarship

$1,500
(no application required)

The applicant must be a female who is enrolled in the MBA full-time program. Candidates will be judged on the basis of their scholastic achievement during their previous studies and their demonstration of leadership abilities.

Mariella Amoros MBA-JD Scholarship

1 scholarship of 5,000$ (nonrenewable)
(no application required)

The student must be admitted to the MBA-JD program and start the MBA part of the program. He must demonstrate academic excellence as determined by the Selection committee.
