Biography

Martine Spence is a full professor of marketing and entrepreneurship at the Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa. Her teaching areas are entrepreneurship, strategic marketing, international marketing and marketing research. She has also taught in Montreal, the United Kingdom and France. Dr. Spence has held a number of research fellowships from Canadian, British and supranational organizations for her research on international entrepreneurship and sustainable entrepreneurship in the context of Canada and of emerging and developing nations.

Research Areas

Professor Spence’s research has led to the publication in English and in French of two co-authored books, approximately seventy book chapters, papers of international conference proceedings and in articles in scientific journals such as Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Small Business Economics, Management International Review, International Business Review, European Marketing Journal, Revue internationale PME and Canadian Journal of Administrative Sciences.
