Ian Telfer

Chairman of Goldcorp Inc. and School of Management Graduate

Ian Telfer is Chairman of Goldcorp Inc., one of the world's largest and fastest-growing gold-mining companies. Mr. Telfer graduated from the University of Ottawa with an MBA degree in 1976. Since then, he has served as a senior executive in the mining industry and has financed, developed and operated mines in 12 countries throughout North America, South America, Asia and Australia.

Prior to leading Goldcorp, Mr. Telfer held executive positions at a number of mining companies, including Lihir Gold, TVX Gold and Wheaton River Minerals, the predecessor of Goldcorp. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto and is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.
