Alumni Breakfast Speaker Series

The February 11, 2009, Alumni Breakfast was themed “Canada’s University in the service of the world” and featured guest speaker Allan Rock, President and Vice-Chancellor, University of Ottawa. President Rock spoke of the university’s initiatives to make the University of Ottawa more prominent on the world stage. The breakfast also featured a short presentation by students linked with the “Making Niger Our Business” project, an initiative created by Professor Guy Laflamme. A portion of the breakfast’s proceeds were donated to “Making Niger Our Business.” The Entrepreneurship Bridges Lecture Series, an annual event co-hosted with the Faculty of Engineering, was held on March 17. Students from the Telfer School and the Faculty of Engineering participated in the sold-out event that featured guest speaker Terry Matthews, Chairman of Mitel and Wesley Clover.
