Travaux actuels

Professeur titulaire à l’École de gestion Telfer de l’Université d’Ottawa, M. Wright possède un doctorat en génie qui lui permet de placer les technologies de l’information et des communications (les TIC) dans une perspective d’affaires. Ses travaux portent d’ailleurs sur l’utilisation des TIC pour atténuer le changement climatique et permettre à la population de s’y adapter, notamment en réduisant les émissions de gaz à effet de serre dans le transport et les immeubles de même que celles générées par les produits des TIC elles-mêmes. (2 p. 100 des émissions totales, mais qui doublent tous les cinq ans).

Expérience

M. Wright possède de l’expérience dans le secteur public et le secteur privé. Dans le secteur public, il a conçu des modèles de dynamique des systèmes pour évaluer les répercussions de la société industrielle sur l’épuisement des ressources naturelles et la capacité de l’environnement d’absorber la pollution. Dans le secteur privé, avec des fournisseurs de matériel et des exploitants de réseaux de télécommunications, il a travaillé dans les domaines suivants : analyse de marchés, évolution de réseaux, besoins opérationnels, formation à distance et incidence stratégique des nouvelles technologies sur les affaires. M. Wright figure dans Who's Who in the World, Who's Who in Canadian Business et Who's Who in Science and Engineering.
