The Financial Research and Learning Lab is where financial theory and application collide. Students are able to take what they learned in the classroom and apply it to projects and coursework they have using one of the 34 dual monitored computers we have available. Of the 34 computers, 12 are Bloomberg Terminals where students can retrieve past historical pricing data, review past financial statements of publicly listed companies, acquire in-depth industry analysis and track macro-economic trends to name a few of the financial research software’s robust functions. Students are also able to enhance their resumes by taking the Bloomberg Market Concepts Certification, an 8-hour self-paced e-learning course that provides a visual introduction to the financial markets which covers Economics, Currencies, Fixed Income and Equities. The course, which retails for $249 USD is free to all students with a valid uOttawa email address.
